May 2018 Round Up

It's Roud Up Time! We'll be taking a look back at May and briefly talking about our visit to Castle Combe for JDM Combe (yes I know this was June 2nd!)

As promised here is the video of the amazing yellow Mk2 Escort:

The car made good power and my goodness what a soundtrack. I (James) was never a fan of the 4 Cylinder NA sound but this car might have changed that. The throttle bodies help a lot but when the car comes on at 4000 rpm it sounds amazing.

Our next car was a bit of a rare one! A 200SX Track car, not a drift car, but an actual road going track project.

Again the car made great power (418.2hp) from the Link PlugIn ECU and Garret GTX2871R Turbo. This car is a real credit to the owner and we liked it so much we had it on our stand for JDM Combe!

Our next video is from an even rarer beast! A Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo Manual:

This car is an absolute beauty. Running a Link PlugIn ECU and hybrid turbos it would have made a lot of power, but unfortunately, the injectors just weren't up to the job. Even so, the car made 325.5hp at 0.6 bar of boost. So the car should easily crack 400 once the injectors are upgraded. Once we get the car back we'll update the graphs and report back on the new power figure!

Our Subaru P1 build is almost complete and ready for mapping, here is a photo of the engine rebuilt and ready to go:

We'll have a video walk around and power runs on our YouTube and Facebook so keep your eyes peeled!

Our final bit of news comes from Castle Combe. We attended the JDM Combe show on Saturday. Thanks to everyone that came over and said hello! We had a fun day with some really nice cars. You'll notice from the picture that the PS13 Drift car is no longer purple! The owner decided to go for a stunning grey colour. Our Evo RS track car also made an appearance for the first time this year:

That's it for May, we'll be back in July for another update, let us know if you want to see anything more from these blogs or videos. Email me - James@gb-ent.com
